Mokokchung, November 14 (MTNews): In partial modification of an earlier order, the Deputy Commissioner of Mokokchung has in a new order issued on Monday permitted movement of heavy vehicles carrying more than 20 tons and 10 wheeler trucks from Tzutapela Gate to Tzurang Bridge with immediate effect. However, the earlier order will remain in force beyond Tzurang Bridge toward Mokokchung town, the DC’s new order read.
“Any truck owner/transport agencies not adhering to this order shall attract penalty as per the relevant sections of the law,” DC Mokokchung, Shashank Pratap Singh IAS stated in the order on Monday.
It may be recalled that the DC had earlier on September 15 ordered restriction of movement of heavy vehicles carrying more than 20 tons and 10 wheeler trucks or above along the Mariani-Desai road in view of extensive road damage.
