Nagaland Member of Parliament, Supongmeren Jamir, has expressed deep condolences on the passing of K Zungkum, a respected leader, former cabinet minister, and four-time MLA. In a statement, Supongmeren extended his heartfelt sympathies to the family of the late Zungkum and the Yimchunger community.
“On behalf of myself and the Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee, I extend my heartfelt condolences to his family and the Yimchunger community,” said Jamir.
According to the MP, Zungkum dedicated his life to serving the people of Nagaland. From his early days as a teacher and translator to his role in politics and the Naga national movement, he worked tirelessly for the welfare and progress of the state. He was also a strong advocate for the Yimchunger community and played key roles in various organizations, the MP said.
“His contributions to society will always be remembered. In this time of loss, my prayers are with his family, friends, and all those who were touched by his work and leadership,” Jamir added.
