Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha), S Supongmeren Jamir, graced the 51st Chozuba Area Sports Association Meet as the Chief Guest at the Local Ground, Chozuba Town, Phek, on 7th January 2025.
In his address, S Supongmeren Jamir urged the gathering to transcend tribalism and foster cordial relationships with everyone. He emphasized that sportspersons serve as role models in society and expressed hope that they would receive adequate financial support.
Earlier, the welcome address was delivered by Sungohi Tetseo, while Vekrüto Nyekha gave the presidential address. The Yorübami Youth Association performed a folk dance during the program. Acknowledgments were given by Vezholhü Khüsoh.
The torchbearers for the lighting of the tournament torch were Mülüsayi Medeo, Yhoto Lohe, Valenûlû Tetseo, and Cekrotalü Khüsoh.
Seven teams are participating in the five-day sports meet, held from 7th to 11th January 2025, at the Local Ground, Chozuba Town.
