Changtongya, 8 July (MTNews): A newly constructed ‘Multipurpose Community Center’ in Changtongya village was inaugurated IGP (Range), Lima Sunep Jamir, IPS as the chief guest on Saturday. The multipurpose facility was built by the Department of Tribal Affairs under SCA to TSS (2020-2021)
In his inaugural speech, Lima Sunep Jamir lauded the noble initiative of former MLA & Advisor, Imnatiba for bringing development to the village by way of initiating the construction of the Multipurpose Community Center. At the same time, he urged the villagers to mold leaders for the future by being united, based on truth and good relationships.
Earlier, the inaugural plaque of the center was unveiled by the chief guest which was dedicated by CBA Pastor, R Meren. A short speech was delivered by the SP of Mokokchung, Manoj Kumar, IPS.
The function was chaired by T Meren Jamir and the invocation was said by Rev Temshi while the welcome note was delivered by Changtongya village council chairman, Tiasunep Longkumer, and benediction by NCRC Pastor, C Moa Longkumer. A vote of thanks was proposed by T Ali Longkumer.
