The Muslim Council Dimapur has condemned YouTuber Kamal Uddin following the circulation of a controversial video since September 6, 2024. The council stated that the views expressed in the video and the improper language used have “definitely hurt the sentiments of many and might affect the harmony prevailing in the peaceful society.”

Although Uddin issued an apology after its members began searching for him, the MCD stated that much damage had already been done. According to the MCD, Uddin has since left Nagaland.

The Muslim Council Dimapur, along with the Chumoukedima Town Muslim Union, has decided to expel Uddin, a tailor by profession and a permanent resident of Village-Dhanbanda, Barpeta, Assam, from the Muslim community of Nagaland effective immediately. The council has also advised house owners to refuse him rental accommodations should he attempt to return to Nagaland.

The Muslim Council Dimapur also expressed concern over the recent arrest of another suspect involved in the Dhing gang rape case from Nagaland on September 6, 2024. They urged community members to remain vigilant and report any suspicious individuals to the police, the Chairman, or the GB of the Colony or Council immediately.
