A Naga Common Platform under the aegis of the Nagaland GBs Federation will be held on November 18 at 10 am at Agri Expo, Chümoukedima, to press for an early Naga political solution based on the Framework Agreement and the Agreed Position. The announcement was made during a press conference in Dimapur on Thursday.
In preparation for the event, the Nagaland GBs Federation had written to the Confederation of Nagaland Chamber of Commerce and Industries (CNCCI), appealing for cooperation and logistical support to facilitate attendance from all districts. The letter described the platform as an open invitation to all Naga Political Groups and the general public, aimed at fostering “reconciliation, unity, and mutual understanding” while supporting a peaceful resolution of the Indo-Naga political issue.
Responding to the appeal, the CNCCI has issued a directive to all District Chambers of Commerce and Industries to attend the event, coordinate transportation for GBs, and observe a solidarity closure of business establishments till noon on November 18. CNCCI said the business community, as a key stakeholder, “must stand united with civil society initiatives for an early and honourable Indo-Naga political solution.”
