Around 250 Naga students and community members in Madhya Pradesh came together in Indore on December 1 for the first union meeting of the newly formed Naga Students Union, Madhya Pradesh, which was held alongside an Advance Christmas celebration.

According to an update, the program was inaugurated by Dr M Chuba Ao, National Vice President of the BJP, who attended as the Chief Guest.
The event opened with a welcome address by Dr Imlimenba Walling, who greeted the gathering and outlined the purpose of the celebration and the union’s formation.
In his speech, the Chief Guest spoke on the importance of culture and unity, urging the youth to understand and preserve their cultural identity. He said that knowing one’s culture strengthens character, builds pride and keeps the community rooted. He also encouraged the gathering to support one another and said unity is essential for the well-being and progress of the community.
Guest of Honour G Akheto Sema, IPS, Special DG, MP Bhopal, spoke about the challenges faced by young people and reminded the attendees to make wise and responsible choices. He encouraged students to remain confident and assured them that the police force is always available to ensure their safety and protection.
The Christmas message was delivered by Dr Bokaho John, who said the true meaning of Christmas lies in accepting Jesus Christ, who came into the world and died for humanity’s sins so that people may receive forgiveness and eternal life.
The event also marked the historic formation of the Naga Students Union, Madhya Pradesh. The office bearers are: Dr Imlimenba Walling as President, Holunso Quinker as Vice President, Machun Dangmei as General Secretary, and Atoholi Yepthomi as Assistant General Secretary.
