Kohima, 11 September (MTNews): The Naga Darts Championship 2023 took place at the Hotel Millennium on 9 and 10 September and attracted darts enthusiasts from across the region.
The closing ceremony of the championship was graced by the presence of Kethosituo Sekhose, Director of Youth Resources and Sports, as the Special Guest along with Col SBB Sharma, Commandant of the 1st Assam Rifles.

During the closing ceremony and prize distribution, Director Kethosituo Sekhose expressed his delight and enthusiasm for the sport of darts. He was pleased to be introduced to this sport and expressed hope that darts would gain more popularity in the region. Director Sekhose also expressed his optimism that the talented players who participated in the championship would go on to represent their region, both nationally and internationally, showcasing their skills and talents on bigger stages.

 

The Naga Darts Championship witnessed fierce competition, and the following players emerged as champions in various categories:

 

Singles:

Champion – Kezhaletuo Semou,
Runner-up – Kikruneizo Zatsu,
Joint 3rd Place – Neiketou Suohu and Vikhor Tepa

 

 

Doubles:

Champions – Vikhor Tepa & Kelhousatuo Yiese,
Runners-up – Kikruneizo Zatsu & Kezhabu Suohu,
Joint 3rd Place – Kezhaletuo & Kekhriengulie, Neibi Solo & Sedevile

 

Individual Awards:

Most Promising Player: Joshua Semou;
Highest Check Out: Kezhaletuo Semou;
Most Valuable Player: Kikruneizo Zatsu;
Most 180s: Kikruneizo Zatsu.
