Mokokchung, 1 September (MTNews): The Naga Hoho held its Presidential Council on 31 August 2023 at Hotel Saramati, Dimapur during which “the august house deliberated on some of the immediate issues and resolved accordingly,” including the reconstitution of its Committee on Naga Political Affairs (CONPA).
According to an update from the Communication Cell of the Naga Hoho received here, the house after thorough deliberations keeping in mind the prevailing situations and with reference to the Yehzabo provisions Article 8 Clause 4, recommended for the extension of the present tenure (2019-2023) of Naga Hoho for another six months which shall be duly regularized by the Federal Assembly.
After thorough discussion, the house also reaffirmed support for the “ongoing Political Talks for an early political settlement.”
The meeting also reconstituted the Committee on Naga Political Affairs (CONPA) “in pursuant to the 1st Federal Assembly Resolution Number 6 and to pursue for early Naga Political Solution.”
