Mokokchung, 15 January (MTNews): A delegation of the Naga Hoho representing Naga organizations from different states met Rahul Gandhi late this evening at the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra campsite at Khuzama ground in Nagaland, Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh informed.

Taking to social media platform X, Congress leader Jairam Ramesh revealed that a memorandum seeking the implementation of the Framework Agreement was given to Rahul Gandhi.

It handed over a memorandum to the Congress leader on the non-implementation of the Framework Agreement signed by the Government of India and the NSCN-IM on 3 August 2015, “and that had been hailed by the Prime Minister as a breakthrough and a solution,” Ramesh added.

“The Framework Agreement remains just a piece of paper even after almost nine years. Another proof of the bogus claims that the Prime Minister specialises in,” he also said.

The Naga Hoho delegation requested Rahul Gandhi to raise this issue in Parliament, Ramesh said. “He recalled that there had been no consultations with other political parties before this Framework Agreement was signed, especially the Indian National Congress which had governments then in three North-eastern states — Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Manipur,” Ramesh also said.

It may be mentioned here that Rahul Gandhi on Monday evening entered Nagaland while leading the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, completing the Yatra’s schedule in Manipur.
