To provide premium organic food products sourced from the farms of Nagaland to customers and food enthusiasts seeking Naga organic food items in Delhi, an outlet was inaugurated by Joint Resident Commissioner of Nagaland House, New Delhi, Sharon Longchari on 9 July 2025 at Humayunpur Village, Safdarjung, New Delhi.
The ‘Naga Organic’ outlet at Safdarjung will serve as a delivery point and display hub for organic products. This initiative falls under the Mission Organic Value Chain Development for North Eastern Region (MOVCDNER), launched by the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare to promote organic farming in the Northeast.
During the inauguration, Longchari said that setting up the outlet in Delhi marks a significant milestone, as it will bridge the gap between Nagaland’s farms and Delhi’s markets. She noted that the outlet will allow potential buyers to view and assess high-quality organic products firsthand, and once orders are placed, they will be fulfilled directly from Nagaland—ensuring freshness, authenticity, and seamless delivery.
She also commended Green Caravan, a market linkage and resource institution and empanelled service provider under the Department of Agriculture, Government of Nagaland, for its ongoing guidance in training, certification, infrastructure use, and market linkages. She said their contribution has been instrumental in bringing the initiative to this point.
Longchari further highlighted that the initiative goes beyond just a business venture, as it aims to empower farmers, strengthen local economies, and promote sustainable organic farming. She added that such initiatives will help ensure farmers from the Northeast become not just producers, but successful entrepreneurs with direct access to urban markets like Delhi.

At the store, customers can find a wide variety of food products sourced from 17 Farmer Producer Companies across Nagaland. Some of the products currently available include:
· Dried Naga King Chilli from Peren and Niuland districts
· Ginger candy from Longleng
· Single-origin Arabica coffee from Tuophema village
· Foxtail sticky millet from Meluri and Mon
· Naga Job’s Tears from Tseminyu

The outlet also plans to expand its product offerings in the near future.
