The Nagaland Pickleball Association (NPA) has announced the first-ever Nagaland State Pickleball Team that will represent the state at the upcoming IPA Nationals 2025, scheduled from November 13 to 16 at The Sports School, Bengaluru.

This marks a historic milestone for Nagaland, as it will be the first time the state competes at the national level under the Indian Pickleball Association (IPA), which is recognized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports and the Sports Authority of India (SAI). The selected players include Khriemetuo Pienyu (Men’s 30+ Singles), David Murry and Tonoto Ayemi (Men’s 30+ Doubles), Zhaputso Khate (Men’s Open Singles), and Nzamo Kikon with Imsuren Longchar (Men’s Open Doubles), with Menuovi Kire as substitute. The team will be led by Captain Nzamo Kikon and managed by Nathan Kaurinta Zeliang.

NPA President Nathan Zeliang congratulated the players and expressed confidence in their performance, stating that the team will showcase Nagaland’s growing talent and competitive spirit at the national level.
