Nagaland announces new age limits and relaxation for government recruitment

The Chief Secretary of Nagaland has issued a notification announcing the enhancement of the upper age limit for entry into government service. This change supersedes all previous government notifications and office memoranda regarding age limits for recruitment. The new age limits are as follows:
· Group D: Minimum age of 18 years and maximum age of 32 years.
· Group A, B, and C: Minimum age of 21 years and maximum age of 32 years.
Additionally, the notification includes age relaxations:
· Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates will receive a relaxation of 5 years, raising the upper age limit to 37 years.
· Government employees will receive a relaxation equal to their years of service, with a maximum limit of 5 years.
The new age limits and relaxations will come into effect from October 9, 2024. This decision was approved by the Cabinet under reference number CAB-1/14/2023, dated October 9, 2024.
