Nagaland Bamboo Development Agency receives ‘Excellent Achievements Award’

Mokokchung, 24 July (MTNews): Nagaland Bamboo Development Agency received the ‘Excellent Achievements Award’ during the International Agriculture and Horti Expo 2023 held at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi from 21 to 23 July.

This was updated by Advisor to Chief Minister Abu Metha through his twitter handle. Extending his best wishes to the team, Metha said it is the state government’s “constant endeavor to keep working towards achieving excellence.”

The advisor and IDAN chairman also updated that the Horticulture Department participated in the expo and used the platform to promote products from Nagaland. Metha also mentioned that he had the opportunity to interact with officials, exhibitors and participants at the Expo and got important feedback.

‘The event could have been better organized’

While appreciating the initiative, Metha observed that the event could have been better organized.

“The overall venue and services were nowhere near international standards, buyers & sellers and B2B meets could have been better and the footfall from the corporate sector was low,” he remarked.

Metha said that State governments and government agencies spend a lot of resources and put in significant efforts to participate in these events, adding that takeaways and results must therefore be productive.

“PSUs who support and sponsor these events are also responsible towards ensuring that high standards are met on all fronts,” he added.
