Kohima, 22 September (MTNews): Nagaland has become the second state in India to implement the TEACH Tool after Andhra Pradesh, Thavaseelan K Project Director, Nagaland Education Project-The Lighthouse (NECTAR) project said. A ten-day training of master trainers for implementation of the digital tool under NECTAR is underway in Kohima.

Trainers of Teachers (ToTs) are currently undergoing District Master Trainers’ capacity building program on TEACH conducted by NECTAR Project Nagaland at Kohima.

 

The TEACH Tool is a standardized observation tool designed by the World Bank that can be used to understand current teaching practices and quality of education inside classrooms. Around 400-500 observers from all 16 districts of Nagaland will be trained to use the TEACH Tool and they will mentor other teachers in the coming years.

 

Currently, 37 Trainers of Teachers attached to various Educational Block Resource Centres within Samagra Shiksha have qualified and been certified. The training will conclude tomorrow.
