The Nagaland BJP Legislators Forum in its consultative meeting held on July 6 at Hotel Japfu, Kohima discussed the successful conduct of the Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) elections in Nagaland. The meeting lauded the PDA partner NDPP and also reiterated to further strengthen the BJP in Nagaland.
“Had a productive meeting with @BJP4Nagaland legislators today, discussing key party issues and strategies for future. Grateful to everyone for their participation and insights. Together, we are ready to address challenges and seize opportunities for the betterment of our state,” Deputy CM Y Patton tweeted on X.
The BJP Legislature Party is also learned to have requested that Deputy Chairpersons for the ULBs, where both parties contested together, be appointed from the BJP so as to maintain and enhance the strength of the PDA alliance.
The BJP is also reported to have appealed for the inclusion of nominees from their party in the respective municipal and town councils in consultation with members from the respective areas to prevent any misunderstandings between the alliance partners.
