Mokokchung, September 11 (MTNews): Nagaland defeated Assam 7-0 in the third quarterfinal match of the ongoing U-14 Subroto Cup 2022 in New Delhi on Sunday morning. The win takes Nagaland into the semifinal round of the tournament and a clash against the Manipur team on September 13.
Greenwood School Dimapur Nagaland continued their goal scoring spree as they scored seven past their opponent Mingmang Nalbari High School Assam in the encounter.
In the match, Vilasielie struck a hat-trick and a goal each from Kevisede, Ketou, Vilasielie and Nisede completed the thrashing of Assam team.
So far, Nagaland have scored 14 goals and conceded one in four matches. Kevisede is the leading goal scorer with five goals, followed by Nisede with four goals for Nagaland team.
While in the fourth quarterfinal match, Heirok Higher Secondary School, Imphal, Manipur defeated NNMHSS, Chelembra Kerala 6-0.
With the win, Nagaland will play against Manipur in the semifinal round of the tournament on September 13 at 3:00 p.m.
