The Nagaland Community Conserved Area Forum (NCCAF), along with Kenono Foundation, LEMSACHENLOK, Kalpavriksh, North East Network, and The Nature Conservancy, will organize a two-day Nagaland CCA Meet on 19-20 June at Clark Theological College, Aolijen, Mokokchung. The theme is “Camaraderie towards Safeguarding our Biodiversity.”

The event will bring together CCAs, government officials, and NGOs to discuss the vision, engagement, experiences, and learnings from NCCAF projects. Co-convenor Ruchinilo Kemp informed that the meet will facilitate networking of/and foster solidarity of the Nagaland CCAs and create awareness and capacity building of CCAs on relevant topics related to biodiversity conservation. Another co-convenor of the meet, Y Nuklu Phom also added that the meet will have technical and experience sharing sessions and a cultural program.
The meet will feature walk-in exhibitions, technical and experience sharing sessions, and a cultural program. Topics include community-led biodiversity surveys, conservation management plans, social equity, carbon mechanisms, community reserves, and legal and policy issues in Nagaland. The event aims to be plastic-free.
