The Administrative Training Institute (ATI), Kohima, conducted the valedictory program for the one-year Foundation Course of the Nagaland Civil Service (Probationers), Batch of 2024, marking the successful completion of their intensive training.

The 16 officer trainees of the NCS (P) Batch of 2024 began their Foundation Course in December 2024, undergoing a comprehensive program that included classroom sessions, attachments with various departments and organizations, physical fitness training, and a Bharat Darshan tour to Kerala, West Bengal, and Tripura.
The program was chaired by Kaholi Sema, Joint Director, ATI, while Dr A. Alem W. Longchar, Assistant Director & Course Coordinator, presented a brief report highlighting the curriculum and training milestones. Two officer trainees shared their experiences, expressing their commitment to serving society with compassion and empathy.
The special address was delivered by V. Shashank Shekhar, IAS, Director General, ATI, Additional Chief Secretary (Agriculture) and Agricultural Production Commissioner, who extended his best wishes to the probationers for both their professional and personal lives. He urged the trainees to continue the hard work, integrity, and dedication that enabled their success, while acknowledging the support of families, friends, and communities.
Shashank Shekhar emphasized the importance of maintaining health, nurturing human relationships, and carrying a larger vision for the welfare of society in their work. He called on the probationers to set an example of ethical leadership and service to the people of Nagaland.
The valedictory program concluded with a reflection on the trainees’ journey and a reaffirmation of their commitment to public service.
