Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton on Sunday shared their responses to the Union Budget 2026, outlining their views on its priorities and focus areas. Rio commended the “much-needed focus to the Northeast,” noting that the Budget harnesses the region’s strengths, while Patton said it advances “people-centric development through clear action.”

In a post on X, Rio said that the Union Budget 2026 brings focus to the Northeast through investments in connectivity and religious and cultural tourism. He said the Budget aims at driving integration, creating livelihoods, and harnessing the region’s strengths.

“The Union Budget 2026 brings much-needed focus to the Northeast through investments in connectivity, religious & cultural tourism, driving integration, creating livelihoods & harnessing the region’s strengths,” Rio said.
He also congratulated Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on the Budget, describing it as forward-looking.

Nagaland Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton also welcomed the Union Budget 2026–27, stating that it places citizens at the centre of economic decision-making.

In a post on X, Patton said the Budget, presented under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, aims to translate national priorities into everyday outcomes for families, workers, farmers, youth, women, MSMEs, and vulnerable sections. He said the “focus on public investment, infrastructure expansion, and fiscal discipline strengthens confidence in India’s economic direction.”

Patton highlighted capital expenditure, freight corridors, waterways, urban growth regions, and energy security initiatives, saying these support jobs, productivity, and long-term capacity. He also said the Budget reflects regional balance, with “focused attention” on the North Eastern states.

According to Patton, the Budget advances “people-centric development through clear action” such as large-scale skilling, education-to-employment pathways, university townships, STEM hostels for girls, healthcare workforce expansion, mental health institutions, and emergency care centres. He said farmers, fishers, and allied sectors would benefit from productivity support, value-chain strengthening, technology adoption, and improved market access.

He also said “trust-based governance is reinforced through simpler tax processes, automation, fewer disputes, and relief for honest taxpayers.” Patton said Budget 2026–27 signals confidence in India’s people, institutions, and future, and takes steps towards the national goal of Viksit Bharat 2047.

He congratulated the Prime Minister, the Finance Minister, and the people of India on the Budget.

  1. As a customer, my experience with Twill Tees has been really positive. I bought a T-shirt and was impressed by the soft fabric, comfortable fit, and overall quality. The stitching feels durable, and the material doesn’t lose its shape after washing. I also love the logo design—it’s simple, clean, and stylish without being too loud. The T-shirt is easy to pair with jeans or casual wear, making it perfect for everyday use. Twill Tees clearly focuses on comfort and modern style, and it feels like a brand that genuinely cares about delivering value and reliability to its customers.
