Mokokchung, December 20 (MTNews): The Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) has called out the injustice and inequality in development although the government of the day talks about backward area development.
The NPCC through its Communications Department stated that many projects are unverifiable according to CAG Report. “Unverifiable means there is nothing on the ground,” it said. “We have no roads but we have many work orders. NITI AYOG has classified Nagaland as the worst performing state,” it further said.
The NPCC also provided figures as evidence in support of their claims. The figures showed fund distribution for road construction during 2018 to 2022. “This is what Congress call injustice and inequality. This is what we call corruption. There are no roads excepting National Highway activities,” the NPCC said. It further said that if anybody wants details, “we have documents available in the NPCC office.”
“Funds are only the due share of the State. Every Ministry has a share for every state. There is nothing that is special. GOI is spending in terms of 100 lakh crores for roads.In comparison, Nagaland state is given bird feed not even chicken feed,” the NPCC also said.
