The Congress Party has officially announced the formation of the Village Congress Committee (VCC) in Kiding Village, located in the 52 Longkhim-Chare Assembly Constituency of Tuensang. This initiative, according to an update received here, underlines Congress’ commitment to serving the community at the grassroots level.


The event was chaired by Atsongba, Block Level Agent (BLA) of Kiding Village, and began with an invocation by village pastor C Likhum.  VCC President M Tinglise highlighted the significance of the gathering for the village’s future and the importance of Congress’ local presence.

Village Council Chairman Chemlongse expressed gratitude for the Congress Party’s dedication to grassroots engagement, stating that it reflects the party’s genuine commitment to its people. He noted that the current political instability at the central level presents an opportunity for Congress, anticipating the party’s return to power soon.

Speeches from honored guests included Chotsase, President of the District Congress Committee (DCC), Tuensang, and Tsipongchem, DCC Vice President, who reiterated Congress’ dedication to community development and growth.

The event concluded with an exhortation by Head Gaon Bura (GB) Holingsing, followed by a communal benediction and lunch. The Village Council warmly welcomed the Congress committee to Kiding and extended their best wishes for the party’s success in achieving its vision for the people.
