The Nagaland Cricket Association (NCA) has announced the schedule for the Open Trials for the 2024-25 season for various categories, including U15 Girls, U16 Boys, U19 (Boys and Girls), U23 (Boys and Girls), and Senior Men’s. The open trials for all categories will be conducted at Sovima Cricket Ground from 16 to 26 July. (See table).
NCA further informed that to be eligible for the U15 Girls open trials, a player should be born between 1 September 2009 and 31 August 2012, while for the U16 Boys open trials, a player should be born between 1 September 2008 and 31 August 2010. For U19 (Boys and Girls), a player should be born on or after 1 September 2005, and for U23 (Boys and Girls), a player should be born on or after 1 September 2001.
NCA also informed that fitness tests will be conducted. All players are required to bring a letter of recommendation from their respective district cricket associations, along with an original Birth Certificate, Aadhar Card, and PAN Card, at the time of reporting for further document scrutiny. It was also stated that verification of documents should be strictly conducted by the respective district cricket associations. Additionally, a school mark sheet and/or school leaving certificate is required for the U15 Girls, U16 Boys, and U19 (Boys and Girls) categories.
All players are to attend the trials at their own expense. A player can participate in only one category, and a white playing dress should be worn by all players.
