The Nagaland Cricket Association (NCA), affiliated with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), has announced open player trials for the selection of state teams for the upcoming 2025–26 cricket season.

The trials will be held at the Sovima Cricket Ground, Dimapur, beginning on June 17 and running through June 26, 2025.

The trial schedule kicks off with the Boys U-16 category on June 17, followed by the Men’s U-19 trials on June 18 and 19.

Men’s U-23 hopefuls will have their turn on June 20 and 21, while the Senior Men’s category will be assessed on June 23 and 24.

Trials for Women’s U-15 and U-19 players are scheduled for June 25, and Women’s U-23 and Senior players will undergo trials on June 26.

Eligibility is determined by age cut-off dates. For instance, Boys U-16 players must be born between September 1, 2009, and August 31, 2011, while U-15 Girls must be born between September 1, 2010 and August 31, 2013.

U-19 candidates, both boys and girls, must be born on or after September 1, 2005 while U-23, both Men’s and Women’s, must be born on or after 01-09-2002.

All interested players must register through their respective District Cricket Associations and present a recommendation letter, original birth certificate, and Aadhar card for verification at the time of reporting.

Girls U-15, Boys U-16, and both Boys and Girls U-19 candidates must also provide three years’ School Marksheet/School Leaving Certificate.

Participants are expected to report by 8:30 a.m. in white cricket attire. A mandatory fitness test will be part of the selection process. Players will bear their own expenses for attending the trials, and document verification must be completed in advance through the District Associations.
