The North East Region Ministers’ Conference on Civil Aviation and the 3rd North East Aviation Summit was held on 4 September 2025 in Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh.
The conference was inaugurated by the Union Minister of Civil Aviation, Ram Mohan Naidu, along with the Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, Pema Khandu.
An official delegation from Nagaland, led by Robert Longchari, Commissioner & Secretary, Transport Department, along with Myingthungo Ababe Ezung, OSD, A.I.R Cell, Transport Department, and Nungshilemba Walling, Deputy General Manager, NST, attended the conference.
The delegation actively engaged in discussions with senior officials from the Ministry of Civil Aviation, DGCA, BCAS, and AAI on the key challenges faced by the aviation sector in the region and the necessary support required to strengthen air connectivity.
