Nagaland duo scores global break with FGN guitars endorsement

In a significant boost for Nagaland’s music scene, musicians Takotemjen Chang and Temsujungba Jamir of the band Trance Effect have earned international recognition through an endorsement deal with Japanese guitar maker FGN Guitars, also known as Fujigen.

Their rise has been marked by notable achievements, including a performance at Lollapalooza India, sharing the stage with rock band Def Leppard, and embarking on a Southeast Asian tour that expanded their international footprint.

Musically, the duo blends Chang’s blues- and funk-influenced phrasing with Jamir’s alternative and grunge-inspired style, forming the distinctive sonic identity of Trance Effect. Their evolving sound has positioned them among the most promising emerging acts from the region.
