Mokokchung, 29 January (MTNews): It has come to the knowledge of the undersigned that some Fair Price Shops in the state are not permitting the beneficiaries attached to other FPS to perform eKYC in their FPS, except for those who are attached to their FPS. In this regard it is to state that any NFSA beneficiary under the state of Nagaland can perform eKYC from any FPS in the state as per the direction of the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution Department, Government of India. It is also reminded to all concerned that the timeline set by the Ministry to complete eKYC is February, 2024.
Therefore, it is reminded that No FPS, in the state of Nagaland, should deny/hinder any NFSA beneficiary registered under the Department of Food & Civil Supplies, Government of Nagaland to perform eKYC campaign so to to achieve the target set by the Government of India within the stipulated period.
The department cautioned that necessary action will be initiated against those Fair Price Shop for non-compliance.
