Kohima, 18 February (MTNews): As Nagaland prepares to co-host wrestling as part of the Khelo India University Games from 22 to 26 February 2024, a coordination meeting was held at IG Stadium, Kohima, on 17 February 2024. Chairing the meeting, Secretary of Youth Resources & Sports, Anthony Ngullie, called upon all stakeholders to contribute their best for the success of the games. He also expressed that the state was fortunate to co-host such national-level games.
Various agendas, such as transport, accommodation, catering, security, and other logistics, were highlighted and deliberated by the attendees. Members of various committees shared their work progress and provided insights into their activities. Officials from various government departments, including Youth Resources & Sports, Transport, Power, PHE, Police, and a representative from the Sports Authority of India, attended the meeting.
Earlier in the day, a half-marathon race was held as part of the Khelo India University Games in Kohima.
