Mokokchung, October 21 (MTNews): The Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA) under Home Department is set to conduct the annual Nagaland Emergency Preparedness Exercise (NEPEx) on November 16, 2022 (Wednesday) to test the capability of the State to respond to, and manage any mega disaster.
NEPEx is a statewide emergency exercise of NSDMA and as a precursor to the NEPEx, a capacity development program for the same will be organized for the AHoDs/HoDs concerned and the DDMA officials on November 11, 2022 at ATI Kohima.
The AHoDs/HoDs of all the departments concerned and two officials each from all the District Disaster Management Authorities have been requested to make it convenient to participate in the program.
It was further informed that the participants from District Disaster Management Authorities attending the said program would thereafter impart IRS, and do Table Top Exercise in their respective districts on November 15, 2022 at the district level.
This will be followed by a state-wide NEPEx (Mega Mock Drill) on November 16, 2022 at 11:00 am.
