Nagaland government allocates Rs 15 Cr for CMLIS

The Nagaland Government has implemented transformative initiatives to enhance the quality of life for its citizens. One such key initiative is the Chief Minister’s Health Insurance Scheme (CMHIS), which remains a top priority. In the current financial year, 12,047 beneficiaries have availed of the scheme, with a total of 19,446 treatments provided in 2024-25, amounting to Rs 50.62 crore. Additionally, 66 hospitals, both within and outside the state, are empaneled under the scheme.

Regarding the Chief Minister’s Life Insurance Scheme (CMLIS), over 3.99 lakh beneficiaries have enrolled since its launch in October last year. To date, 30 beneficiaries have claimed benefits under the scheme. The renewal of CMLIS is scheduled for October 2025, with Rs 15 crore allocated for the next year’s premium to ensure continued coverage. The scheme follows an open enrollment model, allowing more families to enroll throughout the year.
