The Nagaland Government is stepping up the use of digital systems for pension services with the enrolment of government pensioners on Jeevan Pramaan, the Digital Life Certificate system.
The Directorate of Treasuries and Accounts has instructed all Treasury Officers to facilitate the enrolment process, enabling pensioners to complete life verification from a place of convenience without having to visit treasury offices for physical verification.
Jeevan Pramaan enables pensioners to submit digital life certificates, simplifying the annual verification process required for continuation of pension benefits.
As part of the initiative, the District Sub-Treasury Office, Longleng, conducted a training programme on Jeevan Pramaan for pensioners in the district on September 9. The programme was aimed at familiarising pensioners with the digital system and the enrolment process.
Meanwhile, the Wokha Treasury Office has directed all life and family pensioners under its jurisdiction to enrol for Jeevan Pramaan.
The initiative is expected to make the life verification process more convenient for pensioners while reducing the need for physical visits to treasury offices.
