The Nagaland State Government has submitted its official feedback on the Draft Memorandum of Settlement-III, concerning the proposed Frontier Nagaland Territory or Frontier Nagaland Territorial Authority, to the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), Government of India. This feedback was communicated through a letter from Kohima to the Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs, dated November 6, 2024, as confirmed in a press release issued by the Home Department today.
The feedback, focused on establishing a Frontier Nagaland Territory or Territorial Authority, was approved by the Nagaland State Cabinet during a meeting on October 30, 2024. The proposal seeks to address the demands of Eastern Nagaland, encompassing the districts of Mon, Tuensang, Longleng, Kiphire, Noklak, and Shamator.
