The Nagaland government has revised the Core Committee of the Parliamentary Committee on Naga Political Issue with chief minister Neiphiu Rio as its convener with immediate effect, chief secretary J Alam said in a notification on Monday.

 

Alam said the committee has been revised in partial modification of the notifications of June 16, 2021, and July 8, 2021.
Deputy chief minister Y Patton and United Democratic Alliance (UDA) chairman TR Zeliang are co-conveners of the committee while planning and coordination minister Neiba Kronu is its member secretary.

 

S Phangnon Konyak, who was recently elected to the Upper House, has been inducted into the panel, which also has Lok Sabha MP Tokheho Yepthomi.
NDPP legislators, YM Yollow Konyak, Noke Wangnao, Imkong L Imchen, Yitachu, Dr. Chotisuh Sazo, and  Muthingnyuba Sangtam were inducted into the panel, which also has G. Kaito Aye, Metsubo Jamir, H. Chuba Chang and R. Khing

 

All four NPF MLAs Khriehu Liezietsu, Kuzholuzo Nienu, Kezhienyi Khalo and Dr. Nganshi K Ao are in the core committee.

 

Meanwhile, the members from the BJP remained unchanged with S. Pangnyu Phom, P. Paiwang Konyak, Jacob Zhimomi, Mmhonlumo Kikon and H. Haiying in the panel.
The notification also stated that the membership of Independent candidate Tongpang Ozukum remained unchanged.

 

 

Kuzholuzo Nienu appointed as Co-Chairman of UDA government

Leader of the Naga People’s Front Legislature Party, Kuzholuzo Nienu has been conferred as Co-Chairman of the United Democratic Alliance government.
This was informed in a Notification issued by the Nagaland Cabinet Secretariat.
The position holds the rank and status of a Cabinet Minister.
