Kohima, August 12 (MTNews): Nagaland Finance Commissioner, Sentiyanger Imchen said today that the salaries of the government employees will be released by 16th of this month. This was stated by Finance Commissioner Sentiyanger Imchen while talking to media persons on the sidelines of an official function today at Kisama. Imchen said that the delay is because the state is resource crunched and has to depend on the grants from Centre including Revenue Deficit Grant, which comes only in first week, while share of Central Taxes is received around 10th of every month.

The delay in release of salary despite the state government memo on payment of salary by first of every month is because of these reasons, he said.
