The Directorate of Higher Education (DoHE), Nagaland, has informed students, parents and educational institutions that the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) and the Common Scholarship Portal (CSP) are the official government platforms for scholarship applications and are accessible to all eligible applicants.

The directorate clarified that no individual, centre, organisation or society has been authorised to exclusively collect or process scholarship applications.

According to the notification, applications are submitted online by students, verified by the Institution Nodal Officer (INO) of the concerned institution, and subsequently verified at the district and state levels. It stated that the INO must be a regular employee of the institution.

The notification further warned that any institution appointing or engaging an outsider as INO would be held solely accountable for any consequences arising from such an appointment.

Applicants have also been advised to upload only genuine documents issued by the competent authorities. The directorate cautioned that submission of false or fabricated documents would result in rejection of the application and could invite legal action.

The DoHE urged students and institutions to remain vigilant against misinformation and fraudulent claims, adding that the scholarship process must remain “free, fair and transparent.”
