A workshop on Job Opportunities in Japan was held today at Nagaland University, jointly organized by ARMS Incorporation, the Department of Horticulture, Government of Nagaland, and Nagaland University. The event aimed to empower Naga youth through sustainable skill development and career pathways, particularly in the sectors of construction, agriculture, mechanical, and caregiving industries in Japan.

Director of Horticulture, Meyasashi, with NU officials and representatives from the Embassy of Japan and delegates from four prefectures of Japan during the workshop on job opportunities in Japan, held at the Capital Convention Centre, Kohima, on April 23.

The workshop was graced by key representatives from four Japanese Prefectures, who engaged with local participants to explore avenues for international employment.

Welcoming the participants, Meyasashi, Director of the Department of Horticulture, Government of Nagaland, emphasized the importance of collaboration to open global avenues for youth.

It was followed by a Special address from Shibata Nagatoshi, Vice-President of ARMS Incorporation, who was positive in providing the relevant skill development and opportunities for the youth of Nagaland.

Prof Pangersenla Walling, Head of Department, Linguistics, Nagaland University, gave a special address highlighting the core objectives of CoEFL (Centre of Excellence for Foreign Languages), supporting further explorations in foreign language learning and career opportunities.

The inaugural session concluded with a brief address from Oota Masami, First Secretary, Embassy of Japan, Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Japan.

The program was followed by a technical session which was attended by students, scholars, and teachers from different institutes. Invested company representatives gave image and video presentations on the career opportunities in construction, agriculture, mechanical, and caregiving industries, followed by an interaction session.
