Nagaland issues advisory for residents stranded in Nepal

In light of the ongoing unrest in Nepal, the Government of Nagaland has issued an advisory for individuals from the state who may be stranded in the country. The advisory follows a similar notice from the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Government of India.

For emergency support, individuals can contact the State Emergency Operation Centre (SEOC) under the Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA), Home Department, Government of Nagaland. Assistance is available via email at seoc.nsdma@gmail.com  or sdma.nagaland @gmail.com. The helpline numbers are 0370-2291122, 2291120, and 2291123.

Additionally, the Embassy of India in Kathmandu is operating a helpline for Indian nationals in Nepal. They can be reached at 977-9808602881 and 977-981032613.

Further, persons from Nagaland currently in Nepal have been advised to take shelter at their places of residence, avoid going out onto the streets, and exercise due caution. They have also been advised to follow local safety advisories issued by Nepalese authorities as well as the Embassy of India in Kathmandu.
