Mokokchung, September 10 (MTNews): Under the directive and initiative of the Nagaland Olympic Association to form the Nagaland Judo Association, a meeting was convened on 9th September, 2022 in the Office of the Nagaland Olympic Association and resolved to form an Ad-hoc Committee. As entrusted by NOA, the Ad-hoc Committee will explore ways and means for identification and gathering of the Judokas of the State for formation of the State Team to participate in the forthcoming 2nd North East Olympic Games 2022 at Meghalaya.
An update from T. Meren Paul, Senior Vice-President, NOA stated that the Ad-hoc Committee shall chalk out plans to conduct a selection trial of Judokas and arrange preparatory coaching camps for participation in the 2nd North East Olympic Games on priority.
The update also stated that the Ad-hoc Committee shall also undertake all organizational tasks for early formation of the State Judo Association in consultation with the Nagaland Olympic Association.
The Ad-hoc Committee consists of Neivikuolie Khatsu as Convener, Dr. Talitemsu Ao as Secretary, and Dr. Hiabe Zeliang, Akhozo Ringa and Megolhu Dolie as members.
