Kohima, 24 July (MTNews): The Nagaland Law Students’ Federation (NLSF) expressed its ‘anger and grief’ over the disturbing 4 May incident in Manipur where two naked women were paraded and molested by an “organized group of perpetrators.”

 

The NLSF stated that the video hovering in Social Media has reminded mankind over the “ignorance of moral value and impertinent and disrespectfulness of the modesty of women.”

 

The NLSF condemned the impudent behaviors of the perpetrators for dehumanizing the human qualities and breaking the social norms with abominable cruelty.

 

“The incident was not just about the outrage of women’s modesty but breaking the law of moral value of humanity. The federation termed this act as “A Heinous Crime and an Intrinsically Evil Act” and states that such Barbaric act has no place in a civilized society,” it stated.

 

The NLSF further called on humanity to protect and respect every human value and qualities. The Federation also urged the supreme authority of India to spare none and award the perpetrators the highest degree of punishment as established by law and that the brutality with which the offence was committed should not be ignored.

 

The NLSF further prayed for peace and harmony in the Manipur state of India.
