The Nagaland media team today visited Arwah Cave, an important tourist destination in Cherrapunji, East Khasi Hills district, Meghalaya.

Arwah is a large natural cavity formed beneath the earth’s surface through solution activity within limestone rock, geologically classified as the “Shella Formation of the Jaintia Group.”

The team, currently on a media exposure tour organized by the Directorate of Information & Public Relations (DIPR), Government of Nagaland, also visited Nohkalikai Waterfalls and Mawsmai Cave.

They also visited the Living Root Bridge, an extraordinary structure created by weaving the roots of the Ficus Elastica tree. The team further explored Dawki River along the Bangladesh-India border.
