Nagaland and Mizoram registered convincing wins in rain-affected league matches of the NECDC U19 Inter State Friendship Cup 2026 on April 6 at Nagaland Cricket Stadium, Chumoukedima and Sovima Cricket Ground, Dimapur.

Nagaland registered a five-wicket win over Manipur in a rain-affected match of the NECDC U19 Inter State Friendship Cup 2026 at Nagaland Cricket Stadium, Chumoukedima, on April 6.

In the first match, Nagaland defeated Manipur by five wickets in a contest reduced to 39 overs. Manipur, after electing to bat, were bowled out for 184 in 43.1 overs. MD Danish Khan scored 36 off 51 balls, while Naeesh made 35 off 37. Nagaland’s bowling was led by Yashimeren Jamir, who returned figures of 3 for 18 in 10 overs, and Amongti Longkumer, who took 3 for 16 in 5.1 overs.

Chasing a revised target of 159 under the VJD method, Nagaland reached 160 for 5 in 32.5 overs. Samir Ali anchored the innings with 50 off 44 balls, while Tachuye contributed 35 off 65. Naeesh picked up 3 for 54 for Manipur. Yashimeren Jamir was named Player of the Match.

In the second match, Mizoram beat Sikkim by seven wickets. Sikkim were all out for 153 in 46.1 overs, with Parvin Kuikel scoring 45. Stephen Lalawmpuia and Henry Lallawmzuala took three wickets each.

Mizoram chased down the revised target of 131, finishing at 132 for 3 in 24.4 overs, with Immanuel Lalpekhlua scoring 44 and Johan Lalhriatpuia adding 35. Stephen Lalawmpuia was named Player of the Match.
