The Nagaland State Rural Livelihoods Mission (NSRLM) has commenced a three-day workshop on the integration of Annual Action Plans (AAP) for FY 2026–27 under the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana–National Rural Livelihood Mission (DAY-NRLM). The workshop brings together representatives from all District and Block Mission Management Units across the state.

In his keynote address, Moa Sangtam, Joint Secretary, RD and Mission Director, NSRLM, said, “I am very proud NSRLM is making a huge impact at the grassroots, and it has empowered the women SHGs in leading rural prosperity across Nagaland.” He highlighted the efficiency and commitment of the mission team in nurturing Self Help Groups (SHGs) and emphasized the need to disengage non-performing staff. He further encouraged the team to ensure a smooth transition as DAY-NRLM enters its new phase and to align the State Mission’s goals with NRLM 2.0.

M. Rollan Lotha, Chief Operating Officer, appreciated the collective effort of the NSRLM team over the last 13 years, noting that the readiness for NRLM 2.0 implementation in Nagaland is conducive. He stated that the workshop would capture the current status, plans, way forward, and scalable innovations from the ground. Lotha added that the next five years will focus on communitizing key verticals of DAY-NRLM, with Community Institutions leading on leadership, inclusion, social action, livelihoods, enterprise development, financial literacy, advocacy, and other areas, contributing to the Viksit Bharat 2047 goal.

Thematic leads for IBCB, SISD, Financial Inclusion, Farm and Non-Farm Livelihoods, and M&E & MIS presented key focus areas to foster collaboration and ensure effective preparation of the FY 2026–27 AAP.

The workshop is coordinated by Imonenla Imkong Phom, State Program Manager, M&E division, SMMU, who said the planning will help shape a people-centric, inclusive, and sustainable NRLM 2.0, empowering women and strengthening grassroots institutions. The workshop is attended by ADPMs from all districts and BPMs from all blocks.
