Chumukedima, November 6 (MTNews): Nagaland Offroad, curated and led by Wander Beyond Boundaries (WBB) under the initiative of Nagaland Tourism department was officially flagged off by H Khehovi, Advisor for Tourism, Art and Culture, Government of Nagaland at Niathu resort, Chumukedima on Sunday.
An expedition to promote tourism in the state, a 16 member team departed Chumukedima to cover a total of seven districts of the state.
H Khehovi said that by promoting events such as this, travelers can experience the “tribal way of life.”
The Advisor also said that Nagaland offroad will be a yearly event wherein tourists from outside as well as locals will be able to participate in the event.
According to the WBB team leader, Nidhi Salgame, no other state in the country has mapped out offroad trails, which Nagaland has achieved in the past one year.
The team leader speaking to Hornbill Tv at the flagging off program said that Nagaland is set to launch India’s first offroad guide (book) and an app in December this year as part of the initiative.
