Games to feature nine disciplines, with contingents from all 17 districts

The Nagaland Olympic and Paralympic Games (NOPG) 2026 will be held from November 2 to 14 at Chümoukedima and Dimapur, the Nagaland Olympic Association (NOA) announced on Wednesday, September 2.

The Games will feature nine disciplines: archery, athletics, badminton, basketball, boxing, football, pencak silat, taekwondo and wushu. All disciplines will have men’s and women’s categories except football, which will be contested only in the men’s category.

According to the NOA, the disciplines have been selected in line with the proposed 4th North East Games 2026, taking into consideration available infrastructure and resources.

The NOA said separate competition notifications would be issued to the concerned sports associations. The contingents for the Games will be constituted based on Nagaland’s 17 districts.

The NOA also named Kivitoli and Boholi as coordinating officials for the NOPG 2026. They can be contacted at +91 9863188216 and +91 9774635842, respectively.
