The Nagaland Olympic Association (NOA) has announced the celebration of Olympic Day on June 23, 2025, at IG Stadium, Kohima. The event will be held under the global theme, “Move, Learn, Discover – Together for a Better World.”
The highlight of the celebration will be the Olympic Day Run, a fun and spirited track event designed especially for children aged 8 to 12 years. The run aims to promote the Olympic values of movement, learning, and discovery through sport and community.
The Olympic Day Run will feature four race categories: 50 meters for boys and girls born between June 22, 2015, and June 22, 2016; 80 meters for boys and girls born between June 22, 2014, and June 22, 2015; 80 meters for boys and girls born between June 22, 2013, and June 22, 2014; and 100 meters for boys and girls born between June 22, 2012, and June 22, 2013.
The event will be held at IG Stadium, Kohima, with a reporting time of 8:00 AM. A total prize pool of over ₹1 lakh has been announced for the participating children.
Registration for the Olympic Day Run opened on May 31 and will continue until June 17. Interested parents and guardians can register their children through multiple options. Online registration is available via QR codes and NOA’s official social media platforms. Offline registration forms are also available at the NOA Office in Kohima.
