The Nagaland Olympic Association (NOA) has announced that it will celebrate Olympic Day on June 23, 2025, at the Indira Gandhi Stadium in Kohima. The event is part of a global movement to promote the Olympic values of “Move, Learn, Discover” under the theme Together for a Better World.
As part of the celebrations, the NOA will organise a series of track races for children between the ages of 8 and 12. The races will be held in different distance categories based on age, and both boys and girls will participate. The total prize pool for the event exceeds Rs 1 lakh.
The Olympic Day programme aims to encourage physical activity, foster teamwork, and instil the Olympic spirit in young participants. Reporting time for the event is 8:00 AM on the day of the celebration.
Registrations are now open and will close on June 17, 2025. Participants can register online by scanning the QR code available on official notices, through the NOA’s social media platforms, or by visiting the NOA office in Kohima for offline registration.
The Association has urged parents to actively encourage and support their children to take part in this meaningful celebration of sport, unity, and personal growth. For further inquiries, interested individuals can contact 9362355375.
