Kohima, 5 April (MTNews): The Nagaland Police have registered 28 cases in connection with illicit drugs, alcohol, and arms and ammunition in the last two weeks. Out of the cases registered, 37 persons have been arrested.

In a press release, the Nagaland police stated that this effort is a continuation of the statewide operation to combat the widespread availability and usage of synthetic drugs, psychotropic substances, and IMFL.

In this regard, intensive checks of vehicles, raids, and inspections of hotels and restaurants are being carried out to control such illegal activities. The Nagaland police further appeal to the general public to provide information on the sale or distribution of any illegal substances to the nearest police station or through the ‘Call Your Cop’ mobile app.
