Mokokchung, 30 September (MTNews): In an event held on Saturday at the PHQ Lobby in Kohima, three police personnel from Mokokchung were presented with the prestigious DGP Commendation Disc Award. Additionally, three students, who are children of police personnel in Mokokchung and had secured top positions in the HSLC/HSSLC 2023 examinations, were felicitated.
The ceremony was a platform to acknowledge and celebrate the outstanding achievements of eight wards of officers, staff, and personnel of the Nagaland Police who excelled in the HSLC/HSSLC examinations for the year 2023. Furthermore, it recognized the exemplary service and dedication demonstrated by twenty officers, staff, and personnel of the Nagaland Police who were honored with the coveted DGP Commendation Disc for their exceptional performance in the line of duty. These awards were distributed across various units of the police force.
The event was graced by the Director General of Police who physically and virtually felicitated the academic toppers, applauding their exceptional scholastic accomplishments. During the ceremony, the Director General of Police, Rupin Sharma (IPS), addressed the audience and shared insights into the challenges the state’s law enforcement agencies faced. He emphasized the importance of recognizing and encouraging excellence within the police force.
The DGP Commendation Disc Award recipients from Mokokchung included Tizhisie Pojar, NPS, SDPO (HQ); Isihangbe, UBI; and THC Imosanen, all from DEF Mokokchung.
The outstanding achievers of the HSLC/HSSLC examinations included: Tiatetla Jamir, daughter of SI (OPR) Chubanungba; Watisangla, daughter of ABC S Tiameren; and Imlimerenla Pongen, daughter of Temjensoa, LDA, DEF Mokokchung.
