In line with Notification No Home/ILP-36/01/2024/284 dated 14 August 2025 issued by the Government of Nagaland for proper implementation and monitoring of Inner Line Permit (ILP) issuance, the Nagaland Police have developed two mobile applications – Tenant Registration App and Hotel Registration App – to streamline the submission and certification process for tenants and hotel visitors through OTP-based verification.
The Tenant Registration App allows house owners renting out premises to register via OTP verification using their mobile numbers. Tenants must obtain an OTP from their landlord to complete registration. The app also enables tenants to add co-tenants according to the number of persons in a household. Landlords are responsible for certifying the details submitted, as well as updating the list of tenants and co-tenants whenever there are changes.
The Hotel Registration App covers all tenants and guests at hotels, guest houses, resorts, homestays, and B&Bs. Owners can register guest details through the app, with mandatory OTP verification for successful submission.
All landlords, tenants, and hotel owners are requested to register details via the respective apps by 21 September 2025. The apps are currently available for download on the Nagaland Police website https://police.nagaland.gov.in and will soon be available on the Google Play Store. Police personnel at station level have been trained to assist with app implementation, training, and coordination.
Landlords, tenants, or hotel owners seeking assistance can approach their local police station to obtain the apps or APK files. There are no charges or fees for using these apps.
