The Recruitment Rally for Nagaland Police Constables (GD) began today at the Mokokchung Local Ground, drawing 1,186 male and female applicants vying for 133 available seats in the district. The rally, held under the Director General of Police’s order, will continue till January 9, with the possibility of extension if the selection process is not completed.

SP Mokokchung told MT that 66 candidates successfully completed the initial physical run today. Following this, the candidates competed in pull-ups, high jump, and long jump as part of the multi-stage recruitment process.
The next stage, scheduled for January 8, will see over 400 candidates undergoing medical tests. Candidates who clear the medical examination will then appear for the written examination on January 28.
The Nagaland state-wide police recruitment drive began on January 7, with several districts initiating their respective rallies:
Wokha: The recruitment process at Wokha DEF commenced with candidates numbered 1 to 1,000 attending the Physical and Medical Standard Tests. The SP of Wokha, Relo T. Aye, addressed aspirants at the Public Ground, urging strict adherence to the prescribed protocols. Running tests and written examinations are scheduled from January 10 to 13.

Mon: The rally at Mon Local Ground began with a prayer led by Pastor Rev. N. Banwang Konyak of Police Baptist Church, in the presence of SP Mon Kanchan Kumar Kandpal, IPS, Additional SP Ado Yanlen, and district officials. On the first day, 511 candidates underwent medical and physical tests. A total of 6,121 candidates have applied for 166 positions in the district. The rally will continue till January 16.
Zunheboto: At the Police Reserve Ground, DEF Zunheboto, 2,648 candidates—2,397 male and 251 female—competed for 102 posts, including 90 reserved for males and 12 for females. The first batch of 750 candidates completed the Physical Efficiency and Medical Tests. The written examination is scheduled for January 20.
Dimapur, Chumoukedima & Niuland: The rally at NAPTC, Chumoukedima, began for all women candidates and Angami male candidates from the three districts. The week-long process includes document verification, physical and medical tests, and will continue till January 13. Candidates who qualify the physical stages will appear for the written examination and interview as per the notified schedule.
Peren: The recruitment rally, underway from January 7 to 9, saw 217 aspirants competing for 50 constable vacancies, including 6 reserved for female candidates. Candidates underwent physical measurement and medical examinations on the first day.
Phek: At 5th NAP Camp Phek, 2,741 candidates have applied for 103 constable vacancies. SP Phek Dr. Pritpal Kaur IPS, along with CO 5th NAP Muthasuyi Chakeshang NPS and district officials, supervised the recruitment process which began at 8:00 AM today.
